Today we are celebrating your 6th birthday. My how the years fly. It happens every time I blink my eyes. I remember first seeing you, this precious chunky baby! Then falling in love with you as a toddler. I recall you correcting me when I was telling someone how I married your Dad. You said, "No, you fell in love with ME first. Then you married my Dad." It was so precious.
You are growing into such an amazing kid. You are like most kids your age, you love tv, candy, and play time. However you are very kind to your brother and doting on your sister. You have the brightest smile. You are such a great example of behavior and I am so proud of you're growing.
Now, coming close to age 6, you want to grow up and be Batman, your favorite color is red, and you love creating things. From the Legos to Minecraft to coloring and crafts. You love our time at the Discovery Center and it's one of your favorite places to go. You wouldn't have a hint of complaint if we let you have McDonald's and ice cream every day forever.
You do well sharing and I know it's hard, having a little brother who's big enough to like the same toys. The novelty of that wore off fast but he's also one of your favorite playmates. I like it when we do "Hannah- Kail" things; like crafts, Minecraft, or reading stories (with the voices still of course). We finally got your Dad in on the book reading, though we're still training him on doing the voices right. Your favorite books from school are often Scoobie Doo books or superhero books. At home you love "Lama Lama Red Pajama", "The Tawny Scrawny Lion", and "The Cat in the Hat Comes Back". Animal books are a favorite too.
You are growing up so quick. Just a minute ago you were this bouncing toddler. I can't believe it. We love you so very much. We can't wait to see all the future has for you. You are growing into an excellent young man, but we're glad you're okay to be a kid for a little while longer. Every time you're home with us you have us laughing at something silly you've said. You're brother sees you and is so immediately delighted I know you're sister will be the same.
Your Grandparents are so proud of you too! My Mom has been especially proud of how you show her what you learn. You are a very very loved kiddo. I hope that wherever you walk in life as you grow up into a big man, that you know how much that love surrounds you. That while it may be different in that it comes from many places, you are surrounded by a powerful love. You are precious to so many. Always remember that. Your steps carry the love felt for you, where-ever you tread.
Always,
Hannah
