Another week of great moments and memories! It was quite a busy one! We had events, outings, some good relax time too. I've been enjoying the project and getting to share these great moments everyday!
I am especially glad to share with you posts about my job! I work for an amazing place! It's a part of the L'arche Federation. I work as a care assistant for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
"We are people, with and without developmental disabilities, sharing life in communities belonging to an International Federation. Mutual relationships and trust in God are at the heart of our journey together. We celebrate the unique value of every person and recognize our need of one another."

This year is our L'Arche community's 40th year sharing life with our core members! L'Arche was founded by Jean Vanier. In 1964 Jean Vanier welcomed two men into a small home in France where he lived with them, cared for them, and began the movement that has spread worldwide to 146 communities in 35 countries.
Through my three years with this community I have learned more about being human and the beauty of celebration than I ever expected to. I have been taught living simply, the celebration of the everyday, and what real happiness is. I'm proud that I get to share my family with my L'arche family. Seeing my son interact with core members and assistants was beautiful.
