Other things about me: I'm constantly on the lookout for things to do with my daughter. Sometimes it's story time at one of our local libraries, or a trip to one of the many parks near us. Sometimes it's just as simple as going out to our back yard and playing with water and our dog. We've been blessed to live on a block with children that are close-ish in age (a three year old, 21 month old, and 16 month old in the two homes next door).
What are your goals as your daughter grows? I spent a lot of my growing up in day cares and babysitters' homes. Often, I would leave an empty house, and come back to the same thing. Obviously, I don't want that for my daughter if I can help it. I want her to grow up knowing that she's supported and loved and cared for.
What are your favorite family activities? Literally anything. J is only home for about a week altogether out of the month (3 to 4 days at a time), so any family time is precious.
What children’s tv shows drive you nuts? "Yo-Gabba-Gabba"! That show is what I can only assume being on acid is like.
What makes you unique as a Mom? If you saw me, I definitely don't look like a stereotypical mom. The area I live in: brightly colored hair (purple), visible piercings, and tattoos still aren't quite the norm. Otherwise, I don't really think that anything I do as a parent is all that unique. I care for my child and love her unconditionally -- ya know, the things moms should do.
