I am also the worst at sending them out.
We always make them, birthday's, Christmas, etc. But what I have in creativity- I lack in organization. I make them- they stay clipped to my fridge for a month and then too far has past and I feel awkward sending them out. I am flawed- I'm working on it. Today, however. These are getting delivered! If I'm writing the blog- I'm doing the deed! (wow- phrasing- If you watch Archer, that was a nod). To return to topic...
I think a simple act of gratitude can really encourage someone. (This is something soon to be discussed in the happiness project!) It's true though, a simple "thank you" can go a long way. Well, there are a few ladies I work with (who I'm pretty sure don't read this blog) and they do SO much. I felt they really deserved some attention for that.
So I got on Micro-soft publisher and made up some thank you notes. Since words are really my forte, I wrote a personal message of thanks and a "blessing prayer" for them. I then noted I lacked envelopes. Well, what does one do this in situation- "TO GOOGLE".
There I found this really nifty tutorial (thankfully for me- idiot proof), on how to make your own envelopes! (I would make one for you- but this one far surpasses me, so I'll just show you my results). I'll post the link at the bottom. I thought it would add a nice touch to make the envelope cute. So, for each thank you note I decorated the envelopes and I think they turned out well. Check them out!!
A Prayer of Blessing
May God rain his blessings upon you.
May you greet each day with gladness.
May your heart and burdens be light.
May God’s love fill your heart.
May the peace of the Holy Spirit abide in you.
May you be sheltered from stress.
May joy spring abundantly.
May you take shelter in the comfort of the Lord.
May your life be one of serenity.
May your heart be touched be grace.
For this we pray amen.
“May the Lord Bless you and keep you.
May his face shine upon you and be gracious unto you.”
I hope I can be more faithful in sending out my thank you's. Organization is a big one I'm working on. I really liked making my own envelopes- I think it adds something nice. The actual folding took less than 5 mins and decorating them can be done so many ways. A personal touch says " I really cared about what I'm making" which to me is essential is a "Thank you" card. It was also fun!
